Amazing Road trip through the North Cascades Memorial Day weekend
Took 82 out of Kennewick to Ellensburg, then 97 up to Levenworth. From there we took the Chumstick highway up to lake Wenatchee, then 207 over to U.S. 2 (same road that runs through my hometown in Michigan).
This shot is on the backroad behind lake Wenatchee.

From here we looked around for a place to camp but it was almost dark and no spots open at any of the campgrounds( This was Memorial day weekend) ended up staying at a hotel in Baring. I had talked to a waitress at the cafe back in Skykomish earlier and she told us about a cool overlook that the locals party at. So we backtracked a bit to go check out this Spot. So if your wondering how to get there. You take Foss river Rd just before Skykomish and as her directions Keep right ( generaly stay right and follow the better looking roads. You end up at an Antenna and if you follow the road around and down you come to this amazing Camp / overlook spot.
Shot a few shots up here:

This road would be easy for any car with a little bit of clearance but was rough and bumpy with some washout spots. You can see our goal on the horizon Mt baker
So on we went. checked out a beach on the Sound but it was so crowed it was caos no place for a baby and 2 huskies. So we headed north on the 5 to highway 9 and from that to 542. 542 will take you to mt Baker.

Got Dark before we got there so set up camp at the Douglas fir Campground. Sweet spot right next to a trout stream with ripping rapids.
