On October 18 2011 my wife and I both had the day off so we decided to head over to Leavenworth for some fall colors and adventure.

A local bike shop recommended Freund Canyon as a challenging bike trail so we headed in that direction

This was the new road that replaced the washed out section. It had been washed out for the past several years so it was impossible to drive a car to the end of the road.

Yeah we should definitely do a backroads and camping trip in that area sometime. There looks to be a number of different areas to explore.
