View Full Version : Report w/photos: Juniper Dunes ORV Run - Mar 17 2007
It was a blast we had fun doing the dunes... we went all about the place.
Its now 7:08 pm.... we just got all unloaded & I'm fresh from the shower... Yee Haw... Hubby's in now. It was dusty as usual... but still loads of fun.
Only one really bummer thing happened... a guy's wheel came off :banghead: Not a good thing :confused5: He is hoping its still under warranty. I can not remember the guy's name he was crusing with crash test. They limped it back to their rig. I hope its still under warranty for his sake also.
Well just wanted to say Hey all Thanks for the fun & laughs. Until the next ride..... :hello2:
Sorry guys that I was such a crappy Trail Boss. It's hard when we have dirt bikes, quads and vehicles........ It was nice to meet everyone and put a face to the forum name..... I'm beat and VERY sore. All in all I had a GREAT time :thumbright:

We had a blast, I haven't played in sand in about 5 years. Sorry to hear about Test Dummy's Arctic Cat. It was fine last time we saw the boys.
The tires on the 88 were tha suck in the sand even droppeed to 15PSI they tried to bury the Bronco several times. Boss says we're gonna get some sand tires when we can afford it, she wants to go back for more.

They limped the quad back to the trailer and we finished off the trail to the new parking area. We loaded up and pull out as the sun was setting.
This was a great run. We are looking for a date to go back and camp the weekend.
Juniper Dunes rocks. :headbang:
Great pics! :thumbright: Camping would be great, it gives us a time to drink beer :thumbright:

Power steering got hot and was overflowing. I need a real cooler, not the coiled tube Ford trucks come with from the factory.
:thefinger:
[qoute="Screamin"]How did those 10.50 LTB's do you in that sand Hoss? [/quote]
The LTBs are on the 83. The 88 has Dean 33/9.50/15 MTs, NOT a good choice for playing in the sand. I tried to get stuck a few times :laughing6:

:thefinger:
 My chevy dont have a cooler. blame it on that limp ford pump you got attached to your motor :laughing9:
rob the brackets/pulleys off a mid 80s'-90s' econoline van to get you a factory saginaw pump setup.

Yep, I have a Sag swap in the plans. I just haven't found the brackets yet.
Next mods are on the 83. The carb swap followed shortly by a F350 brake booster swap. :thumbright:
Don't forget, I'm TRYING to keep the 88 in halfway descent shape. The 83 will be the trail beater :headbang:

I forgot :salute:
Sore part... Bobstar & I were very sore. We went for a hike the next day & my :bootyshake: was dragging for sure my legs kept saying what are you thinking? But on monday I was feeling some what better in the legs & sore everywhere else.
We are going to get some more riding in so we won't be so sore for the next trip out to the dunes with the group. Juniper Dunes are the best riding place for us that is close by. We always have fun out there & have not been on all the trails yet as there are just to many to go on every one of them. We have our most liked trails that are not to humpity. The kelly humps get tiresome after awhile.
Anyway good pictures everyone... we have tried to get ours on our photo hosting spot but they are to small, can't figure out how to make them big.
I will be printing them & bringing them to the next run at the dunes.
