My buddy Mike and I got there around 10 am Saturday in our Broncos. We wandered around on foot all morning. Mike bailed around 2PM, he didn't have a front driveshaft and couldn't play so he got bored. I enjoyed watching others break their rigs but it could have been better.

The only EWOR member I talked to all day was PullUout. I saw Fatboy but he disappeared before I could introduce myself. I left just before 6PM, found myself some dinner, and now I'm goofing off and thinkin about a nice nap. :bootyshake:

I was standing most of the day at the start of the mud pit. Kind of in the area all the broke rigs were being towed.

Yakima Ridgerunners Jeep Bowl
Report and photos by Clay Graham (http://www.easternwashingtonadventures.com/member.php/2-Ceg) / Eastern Washington Adventures (http://easternwashingtonadventures.com/)

On August 26th, 2006 I rode a long with Fatboy to the Yakima Ridgerunners Jeep Bowl.
We got the there early to get our poker run card so we could be out front not to eat so much dust.

Here we are at the first check point on Cowiche Ridge.

At Strobach Mountain Vista we stopped for a look at Rimrock.

All in all I had a good time.
Rode along with a few friends for the Poker Run

We would have had 4 of a kind but we pulled the 3 of hearts twice.

Came back and ripped up the mudhole.
I let a friend drive my truck so I could get pics of pulling Dweezy out.

Hard to see here but one of the gleed boyz laid his junk on its' side

The only problem I had all weekend was the parking situation in the campground. In stead of politely asking me to move my rig I was yelled at by a very rude ridgerunner lady running the campground.
I politely asked her to not speak to me that way and she flew off the handle.

Sorry to hear about the rude Ridgerunner lady. People should be nice to the people who come out and suport their event.

Thanks for posting pics guys. I had a great time. I plan to go back next year. I will have to get a baby sitter so I can stay for the party. I don't know if I will take the trail rig or mud truck. Maybe both.

IORE was there with his CJ5 and he ran the Poker Run. I didn't get a picture of him. I also didn't get a picture of Jwhoss76 rig. I am sorry I didn't get to meet him. I got a few pics of Psychotoy, but never got to meet him either. Next year I will wear an Eastern Washington Off Road t-shirt.

Toyotawheelin, it was good to see you! We need to hit some trails.

For those of you that missed the Poker Run, we (AWORC) will be running the same trail next Saturday, but the other way. We are also stopping to see the sites. Everyone is welcome to come on our AWORC - Labor Day Weekend Run (http://cegranch.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=253).

Did anyone get pics of "TheUthaBrutha" driving the stock Durango thru the mudhole? Did he manage to get it running again?

I'll catch up with you soon Ceg. The only pics you could have got of my rig would be parked with me sittin on the roof. The rockcrawl was a bit too aggresive for my 88 and I didn't play in the mud. I had to rebuild the rear axle last year thanks to water intrusion. Didn't want to chance a repeat with my daily driver. Hopefully next year I'll have the 83 running for the Jeep bowl.

Last time we saw the Durango it was parked at the east side of the parking lot with its hood up. I managed to get a few pics of other rigs though. :thumbright:

You looked like you were kinda busy at the top of the rock crawl. Colemancooler, my grandson Gabriel, and I watched you and Built not Bot climb the rocks, then went back to the mud pit. Kinda lost track of ya? :geek:

either too much tire ,or pre existing damage finally finishing the job, or bolth. he was just driving through the pit like evryone else and all the sudden he stopped. The rear looked like a 10 bolt, I didn't see the front good enough .

I went over and talked to that guy because I have a few D44 housings I want to get rid of.
He said it was already broke like that before from the tuff truk competition
so instead of throwing another housing under it he welded and gusseted it.
It only lasted about 5 minutes and I was draggin him out tha hole.

I know there are a lot more pics out there to be posted of the mayhem
so lets see them!

This is how it sits as of now, they have new land they are leasing with the option to buy. They are having problems getting insurance because of the meander boundry, the creek is the boundry and it changes every year, so how do you insure land that may not be yours the next year! But if they can get it to work they will buy it! I have been there several times with the last owner and it is a fun place, nothing like the "jeep bowl" but it will in time be pretty good. It location is about 1/2 mile south of Tampico store. They are looking for new recrutes, and help of any kind! So maybe in the future we could put a bunch of people together to lend a hand, what you think?

So maybe in the future we could put a bunch of people together to lend a hand, what you think?Get some work dates that they don't mind outsiders helping and post them up on the up-coming event section. I will help you with the sign up list. I will come out to the work days if I don't have anything going on and if my back is up to it.
