On May 11th 2011 my wife and I went out to explore and hike Black Canyon off Wenas road.

Found some cool roads on the way

With all the rocks I was glad I had tucked up my exhaust pipe and muffler

This road was far easier than the last road I came from! Funny that the people that wrote a online trail report said it was inpassible by car and you needed a high clearance suv. Wasn't about to turn the car around at this point.

I think it's only 1.5 miles to the cabin. The total hike wasn't that much further but does climb steady.

Would be difficult on a bike with the loose rock. On a full suspension bike it would probably be alright. Would most likely have to hike it up then ride down. I'm thinking of attempting it on my bike next time. The bike's got 6 inches of suspension so would probably be fun.
