Bike Quad Rig 2012 Slab ORV Meet & Greet - Feb 4 2012

2012 Eastern Washington Adventures Slab ORV Meet & Greet
Report by Clay Graham / Eastern Washington Adventures
Photos by Amanda Graham / Eastern Washington Adventures

Around 11 AM on Saturday February 4th, 2012 we met up at the Slab ORV Area for the Annual Eastern Washington Adventures Slab Run/Meet & Greet. The turn out was big and many traveled from far away. The weather was nice. It was great talking with people I knew and meeting others that came out for the first time. I want to thank everyone for coming. You made this year's Eastern Washington Adventures Slab ORV Meet & Greet fun time.

Here are some pictures of our day taken by Amanda Graham.

Thanks. My daughter "Monster" wants to learn how to take pictures better. This is the first time I let her take all of them. I say she did a very good job for her first long shoot.

So what happen to your rig?

My D35 finally broke, the spot welds holding the axle tubes in the pumpkin broke, the tubes didn't come out but the pumpkin rotated up and the driveline was bound up. I pulled the driveline and was able to drive it back to the trailer. I don't think it hurt it, should be able to fix it and truss it at the same time. First time I've broke anything on that D35 in 12 years!

That's right your Dad told me. I seem to forget things a lot more.

Test Dummy rotated his axle tubes on his D35 years ago when he had the 5 speed, new locker and new tires. He took off hammering it hard up hill. He also bent both add-a-leafs. Test Dummy added bolts in the axle tubes through the punkin after he put the tube back into place. He ran it awhile like that.

Did the fullsize Chevy go through flex canyon? Nice to see plus size rigs wheeling.

I had fun and met some real nice folks. Great job on the pics Monster. The area is bigger then I thought it would be, I will return to ride my bike there one day. I hope to attend the clean up also and explore it some more. It sure is nice that the owner lets people use the area like that, You see less and less of that these days. Is it possible for the club to send him a thank you card with a bunch of people signing it or something like that? I know theres the clean up but a written thank you may go a long way. Sure could'nt hurt. Thanks for putting on this event Clay. Good times.
I'm looking for your dead or unused jet ski. PM me if you have a cheap one.

Great pictures as always. Wish I could have made it, looks like a blast.

Maybe I'll venture that way once sledding season is over.

I was up there last week at the slab. I took up a couple of new guys to go wheeling and show them a nice easy area for wheeling. While we were there we saw three rangers two on 4wheeler and one in a truck. There was a ton of bicks and a few 4wheelers. Everyone was having a blast and it seemed like everyone was following the rules. I talk with one of the rangers and he said it was very chill. It's been a while sence I've been out there but it look relatively clean for the slab. Flex canyon is it bit more chewed up but that just adds to the challenge!!!
