Being a 'van guy', I have to say why not?! (I'm a firm believer in the 'dare to be different' movement.)
I ran across this build just recently and was surprised that the VW community wasn't slamming this guy.

What better way to hide the fact that you own(ed) a CJ than to disguise it as a lesser vehicle such as a VW Bus?
Just kidding. I would love a 4X4 van. Just can't afford to buy one or have enough time to build one myself.
